Fairywand
Chamaelirium luteum
A favorite woodland native and rarely offered for sale, Fairywand (or Devil's Bit) sends up a narrow spike of tightly clustered bright white flowers in early summer. Fairywand produces male and female flowers on separate plants; you can sex them as they bloom because male flowers will usually curl to one side at the tip, while female flowers will stay straight and upright. Delightful surprise for the summer woodland garden!
